This is a great workshop for students ready to take their knowledge of encaustic to the next level! Techniques and materials include how to make encaustic medium, types of wax and their uses, use of advanced tools, advanced color blending, creating seamless gradations, foiling, inks, powdered graphite, aqua dispersion pigments, the textural possibilities of plaster, creating plaids using masks and advanced collage techniques. Please note: It is highly recommended that participants have some prior experience with the encaustic medium.
