Event Description
Courtney Lipson has just completed her first Chilkat robe under the teaching and guidance of Chloe French. The eagle design of the robe was created by Courtney's husband, Scott Jensen. Join Courtney in honoring the community that helped make this project possible as she cuts the robe from the loom.
Chloe and Courtney's first Chilkat robes will be danced together; a celebration of weavers' dedication and the connection of teacher and student through this cultural art form. Joining us in breathing life into the robes are the Fulmer family and members of Haandei I Jin Tlingit dance group.
