Color can come from the wax itself, but also from layering collage papers in the wax! Join in this 3 hour workshop to experiment with decorative papers, Japanese silk tissues, your own ‘old’ paintings and found objects to create beautiful paintings in beeswax. For beginning encaustic painters, as well as advanced – and a great opportunity for assemblage and mixed media artists, writers, photographers, etc to explore techniques and story building in wax.
Course # W09W1172 $75. $10.00 supply fee includes all wax and tools. Plan to bring 3 or more boards to paint on - either Clayboards or plywood @ 8 x 10” or smaller. And collage elements that are personal to you.
