Have you ever wanted to include figurative forms in your work? Would you like to incorporate flowers, faces, animals, fish or birds in your jewelry? It?s not difficult and here?s the chance to learn how! This short but intense class shows you how to turn rough sketches and images into finished pieces. We will begin with working drawings for design development. Then learn to layout, transfer, and carve your designs in wax. Instruction includes how to carve mirror images and hollow forms. Take this class and expand your repertoire to include life forms.
Prerequisite: Fabrication 1 or experience.
Kate Wolf will also teach Wax Carving Intensive, April 11-15, 2011.
