Event Description

Learn the creative technique of free motion machine embroidery on various surfaces. Machine embroidery can transform purchased and found materials from flat to dimensional, smooth to textural and turn the common into dynamic. Rich, a sculptor and artist who employs fiber, surface design, hand and machine stitching, obtainium and a variety of other unusual techniques and materials in her 2-D and 3-D constructions and installations, will share her various inspiring and creative techniques with students.

*Participants must supply their own sewing machine with a free motion embroidery or darning foot.

Date & Time: Saturday & Sunday

January 14 & 15

9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (one-hour lunch break)

Registration Deadline: January 7
