Instructor: Gail Crosman Moore
June 28 & 29
10am – 5pm

In this two day feltmaking class students will be introduced to 4 different ways to felt 100% wool fibers and turn them into most anything you may desire! The focus of the class will be jewelry scale objects, but information can be applied to any scale. Covered will be coil, flat and needle felting as well as felting over an armature. Many bits and parts will be created that we will then turn into brooches or lariats or desktop objects. Students need only to bring a shoe box size Tupperware-type
container, a cookie sheet and a bath size towel and a grouping of favorite seed beads. Depending upon the desires of the students more or less time will be spent embellishing with seed beads and sequins.

$310. after May 30

Gail Crosman Moore, an award winning multi disciplinary artist, brings to you many years of arts education, both as teacher and student. Her B.F.A. from Mass College of Art was in the Art Education discipline, which is to say she was able to pursue any/all media.
Seduced and stimulated by so many things; surface, form, color and texture that can be readily interpreted through a myriad of materials paired with a lifelong obsession with the ‘Pod Form’ work together as inspiration and a recipe for a ‘job’ never completed. From concept to execution to trade shows and classrooms, the artist/teacher lies at the core.
Crosman Moore’s work has been recognized and awarded through publication in many trade magazines, including: Ornament, Beadwork, Bead and Button, Lamagga, and in several books on several subjects, including her work in Felt, Glass, Metal and Paper. Awards include Saul Bell, 2009, an A.R.T. Grant and invitations to teach abroad which include trips to Japan, Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark, Canada and Great Britain.
