Make’em & Wear’em
1-Day Metals Workshop
July 18
10am – 5pm
Students will design and make four unique pair of earrings in a day!! Beads, wire, sheet metal will be used to make the earrings. Basic soldering will be taught but most work will be done with cold connections. The day will begin with exercises designed to jumpstart the process that will lead to four finished pair of earrings by the end of the workshop.
Materials list to follow/some supplies will be available for purchase.

MICKI LIPPE was the founder and first president of the Seattle Metals Guild. She served on the board of Pratt Fine Art Center and was President of Society of North American Goldsmiths. Micki was the chair for Seattle Metals Guild "Passing the Torch", the high school jewelry/metal sculpture exhibition. Currently she is the chair of the Women's Shelter Jewelry Project. Micki teaches in Seattle and in other cities in the US.
An important part of her artistic development was a year spent living and sharing a studio Germany.
Most recently her work was shown in 4+1 at Pacini Lubell gallery in Seattle. This exhibition presented the work of four young jewelers who have been mentored by Micki. Her work is published in 500 Earrings, Art Jewelry Today and Adorn; and is included in the Tacoma Art Museum 9th Biannual.
