Re-worked is a collaborative project by jewellery designer Nicola Louise Reed and textile designer Sara Nevay, both graduates of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee, Scotland with 1st Class Honours.
This project aims to examine the notion of preciousness in vintage and modern materials by using destructive processes. By mixing disciplines, Re-worked aims to broaden each designers knowledge of the others specialism after slightly touching upon these disciplines in their respective final year projects.
"Made possible with the financial assistance of the Craft Makers Award: Dundee Scheme"
"Re-worked will highlight the notion of preciousness in modern materials by examining the process of re-adapting vintage materials in making marks (permanent and impermanent) with precious and non-precious metals and destructive processes."
