The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

We are honored to be the keynote speakers at this year's WCIAA conference! The Western Cast Iron Art Alliance conference October 3-7, 2018 in Granite City, Illinois is a biennial event focusing on cast iron. There will be exhibitions like the Flaming Sculpture Walk, the Professional and Student Cast Iron Exhibition, and there are opportunities for performance iron casting.

There will be workshops that focus on the creation of sand molds, ceramic shell, reaction molds, and jewelry-scale cast iron, which we're super excited to try.

There will be tours of an industrial steel mill that casts huge quantities of steel as well as other exciting activities.

Our keynote talk will be on Thursday, October 4 and we'll also have a book signing.

Granite City, IL is just outside of St Louis, MO.
