is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.
We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Behind the scenes with Tatty Devine

We visited Tatty Devine founders Harriet Vine and Rosie Wolfenden to talk about starting their jewellery practice in the 90s, working with pioneering jeweller Susanna Heron and their compulsion to make. Watch the interview.
The energetic jewellery duo feature in our exhibition I AM HERE, which includes over 90 pieces of jewellery from the last 40 years.
See the show at The Hospital Club in London before it closes on 28 August.
It’s just a few weeks until the finalists of the Woman’s Hour Craft Prize go on show at the V&A.

Want to learn more about the 12 makers, all selected for their outstanding contribution to craft in the last five years? BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour has been profiling the finalists – listen to all of them so far.
Also watch out for the next issue of Crafts, which features a special Woman's Hour Craft Prize supplement - out early September.
Catch the exhibition at the V&A from 7 September 2017 to 5 February 2018, before it goes on tour.
Dear Members,
We are looking for volunteers to help on the ACJ stand at the Goldsmiths' Hall on 31st October & 1st November for the Make Your Mark event, organised by the Assay Office London.
This is aimed at students on precious metal courses across the UK.
We need people to staff our stall and tell visitors about ACJ and the benefits of being a member.
If you could spare a few hours it would really help.
On Tuesday 31st October, the event is open 10.30am to 5.30pm.
On Wednesday 1st November, the event will open at 10.00 am and finishes at 4.00pm.
If you are able to help, please email me at enquiries@acj.org.uk
THANK YOU!
Woman’s Hour interviewed two more Woman’s Hour Craft Prize finalists – textile artist Celia Pym and jeweller Lin Cheung.
