View works by one of Britain's most eminent stone sculptors, Emily Young, in an outdoor Sculpture Garden at NEO Bankside. Nearby at Oxo Tower Wharf, a number of resident designer-makers have organised special in-studio events. Studioilse set up shop near London Bridge to bring you their first collection designed for IKEA. Modern-day letter wizard Paul Antonio Scribe shares his knowledge of the art and history of calligraphy with a series of lectures and hands-on workshops.

Loophouse studio hosts an open studio, showcasing its bold and graphic designs for rugs, throws and cushions. Snoop the glamorous surrounds of Tom Dixon-designed Mondrian London hotel at Sea Containers House on design led tours, and while there, also look in on Moooi's latest collections at Moooi Residency. Back at Oxo Tower, The University for the Creative Arts brings a showcase of work from its craft and design graduates to the Capital.

Design consultancy Pancentric asks big questions about the future with their three-day service design and design thinking in action event, and law firm Wragge Lawrence Graham hosts a discussion on design and protecting intellectual property with the founders of Trunki, tangerine and Joseph Joseph.

We need your help to inspire a future generation of makers.
http://www.inspiringthefuture.org/?utm_source=Master+List&utm_c...

We believe that talent is everywhere, and that every child has the right to discover their talent for making. Will you give one hour to talk to young people about your career in craft?

We have teamed up with Inspiring the Future to enlist the help of makers and craft professionals to show that a career in craft can lead to a rewarding professional life.

In Spring 2016 we will be running a series of events bringing together groups of makers to meet young people in a speed networking format. If you are interested in getting involved or going into a school or college near you then please sign up as a volunteer and tick the Crafts Council box.

Visit the Inspiring the Future volunteers page for more information or guidance or call 0207 566 4880.

www.homeofartisans.com is an online community marketplace
of craftspeople from all over the world. We bring the stories of our craftspeople to life, showcase their pieces and sell them to our customers who are looking for unique and beautiful objects for their homes.

Everything offered on our website is made by an artist of craft and each piece offered for sale tells its own unique story.

By signing up to Home of Artisans, our craftspeople have their own profile within our online marketplace, are able to share their content to their own contacts and sell their key pieces instantly.

Home of Artisans makes it easy to sell work online, but at the same time, we are a community working together, not just an ‘online shop’.

We actively market you and your work, we mentor you to ensure you maximise your online sales, and we will represent you amongst our network of partners in the craft world.

We have selected you specifically to join our curated marketplace.

Your work is beautiful; and we know our customers will love what you create.

We look forward to the opportunity to represent you.

Regina Aradesian, enameller

After discovering a love of jewellery-making on a foundation art course, Regina studied for a degree in Jewellery Design. She now specialises in enamelling.

Regina has perfected her enamelling skills to create distinctive pieces.Regina has perfected her enamelling skills to create distinctive pieces.

Hometown?

I'm Armenian, but I grew up in Iran and the US.

I've been living in London for years now. All my jewellery study has been here.

What job do you do?

I run my own business, designing and making my own pieces of contemporary enamel jewellery. I've been running it for several years.

I also work at Holts Academy of Jewellery as a tutor and assessor. I coordinate the Level 2 courses

How did you get started in jewellery?

Since I was about seven years old, I liked to paint. I always thought I would be a graphic designer, but when I did my art foundation course at Chelsea College of Art my view completely changed.

"When people buy your art, it's an amazing feeling."

The course covered fashion, painting, 3D design, jewellery, and textiles. Jewellery became my favourite, and I picked it to specialise in for the degree course I went on to do at Central St Martins College of Art.

While I was doing my degree, I discovered enamel. Enamelling is applying powdered glass on metal and fusing the two together. It involves grinding the glass with purified water, applying it to the metal, and putting it in a kiln to be melted, fixed and fused.

It's so colourful, and as I have a background in painting it really caught my interest. I could, effectively, recreate what I loved about painting in jewellery form.

What previous jobs have you done?

Whilst at university, I worked part-time in a jewellery shop in Covent Garden as a sales assistant. I was there for long enough that when the manager left, just as I was graduating, the managerial post was offered to me. I managed the jewellery shop for several months after university.

During this time I was very active in making my own jewellery. I won aGoldsmiths Craftsmanship and Design Award, and then I was accepted as a seller at the Goldsmiths Fair

The fair is one of the most prestigious retail jewellery fairs in the UK. I won a bursary and a free stand there, and it really helped me to launch my jewellery business.

Since then, I've been designing, making and selling regularly, and I've attended the fair every year. ...
