The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

The inaugural Professional Jeweller Awards is nearly here.

The Professional Jeweller Awards & Summer Barbecue will be the most spectacular party of the year for the British jewellery industry. The Awards party takes place on the second night of IJL, September 4, and is the event that no business professional in the jewellery world can afford to miss.

Join us for a night of music, free-flowing drink, and the dramatic revealing of the Professional Jeweller Awards winners. This year, we will even be providing a sumptuous three-course barbecue meal cooked under the stars to every guest.

Have you ever wondered what colours sound like? With Specdrums, new app-connected rings, you get to decide! The rings register the colour you’re tapping on, no matter the material, and the app creates the sound you assigned to that specific colour, turning any object into a musical instrument.
