The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

We're looking for talented makers...
If that sounds like you, then we want to hear from you! We are currently seeking extraordinary craftspeople - who create beautiful objects in the highest quality materials - to exhibit at our popular craft events this autumn. We welcome applications from established and emerging makers, craft organisations and galleries who work across all media in contemporary craft. The deadlines for submissions close at the end of the month, on FRIDAY 28 APRIL.

Register for a briefing event for round 2 of Innovate UK's Design Foundations funding competition.
Design Foundations is a grant funding programme from Innovate UK to help businesses identify innovation opportunities and generate better propositions for desirable, useful and feasible products, services and business models. The aim is to build collaborations between businesses looking for new ways to innovate, and designers with the creative tools to provide this insight. It means using design interventions to address critical business challenges.

Innovate UK in the North East of England: Grant Writing Masterclass
Thu, 13 Apr, Northern Design Centre, Gateshead

There is no magic formula to getting grant funding but with a great idea, the right people, and a well-presented case, you can put yourself in the best possible position. At this event you will bring the ideas and the people, and KTN will help you present your proposal in a compelling and concise format suitable for Innovate UK applications as well as other grant programmes.
