Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.
We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

On Sunday 19 June, OXO Tower Restaurant, Brasserie and Bar is making it easy for you to buy the ultimate gift and show the love with a cocktail masterclass with Jack Daniel’s. The second in a Sunday series to celebrate OXO Tower Restaurant, Brasserie and Bar’s 20th birthday, this masterclass will focus on the finest whiskey ever to come out of Tennessee.

By the end of this masterclass you’ll be mixing like a pro and have the knowledge to match. And that’s not bad for a Sunday morning, is it? http://www.oxotower.co.uk/treat-your-dad-this-fathers-day/?utm_sour...
Mikala Djorup’s jewellery reflects both her Danish background and her fascination with the classic tradition of jewellery design. She creates modern wearable jewellery, often combining the matt gold or platinum with unusual diamonds and pearls. She thrives for character, both in the stones and pearls she selects, and for the overall design. Most of her work is one of a kind, and handmade in the shop.
Mikala regularly show her pieces at prestigious exhibitions and jewellery shows, both home and abroad.
After 11 years at neighbouring Gabriel’s Wharf, Mikala has now moved to the iconic Oxo Tower Wharf, and the new premises has a distinct Nordic feel with its open plan workshop and clean lines.

acobs the Jewellers Launches Second Year of Young Designer Competition
The Goldsmiths’ Company is delighted to collaborate with Jacobs the Jewellers, Bishopsland Educational Trust and HS Walsh on the Young Designer Competition held at Jacobs the Jewellers in Reading.
Four young Bishopsland designers will showcase one piece of silver and one piece of jewellery, competing for best design in each category. Throughout the exhibition period (6-27 June), the public will be able to view and try the designs, voting for their favourite piece in each category. Additionally, a number of Bishopsland alumni, now designers in their own right, will be exhibiting their work.
Last year Loucinda Nims’ silver whiskey tumblers won best silver design and Dominic Simon’s 18ct gold slotted ring won best jewellery design. The winners received £500 worth of vouchers to spend on tools and materials.
The Studio Internship Graduate Award
This new Goldsmiths’ Company award is open to graduates within 5 years of graduation and offers the opportunity to train with the country’s leading artist silversmiths for 16 weeks before exhibiting at Goldsmiths’ Centre.
