is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

I am delighted to announce that my large scale artwork X-Ray Vault Series II has won the prestigious Peter Collingwood Trust Award 2015 for the innovative technique I have developed. It will tour to two exhibitions this year after being showed at the Crafts Council's COLLECT 2015 exhibition for the first time.

In September, I will be exhibiting the series in Future Heritage at Decorex curated by arts critic Corinne Julius. I feel privileged to be one of the eighteen artists included in this "exceptional selection of the next generation of leading makers". I look forward to seeing you at the exhibition; I will be there between 20th - 22nd September if you would like to ask me any questions about my work.

Future Heritage, Decorex International
Dates: 20th - 23rd September 2015; Venue: Syon Park, London

In October, the series will be showcased in Ornament curated by Victoria Scholes who has selected some of the "UK’s most eminent and up and coming artists". I am proud to be nominated by The Whitworth Art Gallery for the exhibition and look forward to welcoming you at the Preview in Manchester on 8th October 6-9:30pm; please email if you would like to attend this event by 6th October.

Ornament 2015, GNCCF
Dates: 9th - 11th October; Venue: Old Granada Studios, Manchester

With best wishes,
Rita Parniczky
