The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

We will be holding our next ethical gem fair in London on 29th and 30th August in Hatton Garden. These events are held jointly with our partners Fair Trade Gemstones & Capricorn Gems, and we look forward to another busy couple of days.

It is your chance to see up close some very exciting coloured gemstones that have all been responsibly sourced from several of the world's major gem producing countries.

Read more information about the day on our Facebook page (remember to like our page too!): https://www.facebook.com/events/449268882574036/

https://mailchi.mp/7f2d99127ecf/surrey-hills-spring-newsletter-1497... A new fundraising campaign has been launched to restore a lost viewpoint in the Surrey Hills
Just a short walk from Newlands Corner, on the North Downs Way National Trail, the trees and undergrowth have grown up significantly, closing off views across the Weald to the South Downs. We want to re-create and maintain these views, enhance the habitat for insect and butterfly populations to flourish and install a sculptural seat.
