The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Whether an artist needs to purchase a new air filtration system or needs help with medical expenses following an accident or illness, your support makes a big difference. Just ask Oliver Schnoor, a jewelry artist from Naples, Florida, who has been unable to work since he severely injured his hand while working in his studio. Oliver, who will be out of work for 6 to 8 months, plans to use the emergency financial assistance from CERF+ to cover some of his medical expenses while he recovers from the accident. We received this note from Oliver after he was notified that he had been approved for an emergency assistance grant:
“I am emotionally overwhelmed. Having support while going through the most difficult time of my life ever, gives me hope that things will turn around and that I will be able to get through this. There are no words that describe my gratitude. I hope to make up or pay forward this amazing gift. The recovery has begun…”
Gifts to CERF+ help artists like Oliver get back to work as soon as possible. Artists will always need a safety net, and with your help, CERF+ will be there for them. Please consider a gift to CERF+ today. To make a contribution you can follow this link to our secure online giving page or send a check to CERF+ at 535 Stone Cutters Way, Ste. 202, Montpelier, Vt, 05602. Thank you for your consideration!
