Cooperative Statement:

As two artists who typically work in materials such as silver, copper, brass, found objects, and even latex, we approached this call for entry as an opportunity to explore a process and material new to both of us. We branched out of our preferred personal aesthetics and opted to meet in the middle to make one object for the table. We collaborated throughout the entire process, from brainstorming, design of the object, and execution of the final product. In working with a new material, polystyrene, and a new process, vacuum forming, we encountered obstacles that challenged us to work together to problem solve. The final result is a unified piece, created by the flux of two artists combined efforts and true co:operation.
