Comment by Susan Breen Silvy on March 30, 2011 at 9:40am I think the idea of everyone signing the catalogs is awesome!!!! Maybe we can all meet at a certain time in the lobby bar and have a signing party. People should try to wear the jewelry in the catalog! It can be a signing/fashion show!
I want to thank Jackie Truty and Katie Baum and Art Clay World for making the print exhibition possible at the Metal Clay World Conference. Their support of the metal clay community is huge and really really gave this exhibition an extra punch. I just made a call to Katie one day and told her about the online exhibition and they immediately came up with the print exhibition. Support like that can't be measured. They are good people.
Comment by Lesley Messam on March 30, 2011 at 8:34am Hi Christine
Can we pre-order for the MCWC, Being able to purchase at the conference would save me (I'm sure others will agree) having pay for it to be sent to England?
I look forward to your reply.
Many thanks.
Lesley
Comment by Christine Norton on March 30, 2011 at 8:28am Because of the time commitment involved with the catalog, it will come out close to the conference. This will give Susan and me plenty of time to get everything put together, proofed and polished so it is the catalog as we envision it.
For those not attending the conference, yes, there will absolutely be a way for you to purchase one (or many!) copies for yourself, your friends, friends of your friends.... :-) I don't have the information on how to purchase it yet - we will make an announcement closer to the date.
Right now our top priority is getting the first online exhibition uploaded so it is ready to go on show day! Very exciting!

Comment by Sophia Georgiopoulou on March 30, 2011 at 1:46am Just sent my payment to Sam. I will be unable to attend but I will definitely need more than one catalogs. Many thanks for all your hard work. I missed Prague because on the eve of my departure my mother fell and dislocated her hip! Thank God she is alright now! But there will be other conferences.
Again, thank Christine and Susan!

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.
Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!
