This is where we can discuss the Masters Registry - celebrate successes, discuss technical issues, etc.

Everyone - Let's move all this good discussion about copper into this discussion thread so it all stays together. Thanks

I will post it ! ;D
I will be writing a blog post too.
This is going to be great !
I have to give Susan all the credit for the CERF catalog. She is an IDEA woman and once she gets an idea, she gets SO excited and focused. She did all the legwork in contacting CERF and the publisher. I am here to help her see it to fruition and do the more techy type stuff with the photos. :-) I WISH I had her level of energy!! ha ha!
Another quick topic: In the past a few of you wanted to post about New Directions on your Facebook pages to get the word out. At the time, we asked that you not do that as we were worried that Brigitte would be inundated by applications. I have asked Brigitte if it is okay to post on Facebook and she said YES...her only request is that we make it clear that:
"As long as everyone invited understands that crafthaus is not letting people on indiscriminately, and that new members are solely accepted based on the quality/craftmanship of their work as displayed in the website link they provide in the sign-up process,"
She is also very emphatic that if at first someone isn't accepted, it isn't necessarily because of their work - it can be because of the quality of photographs in the website link - so the person may need to re-photograph and reapply. Please also be sure that you mention there is a membership fee as well. (I am sure Brigitte will chime in if I have forgotten anything.)
So, if you are open to posting on Facebook, we would appreciate the support and assistance in getting the word out to our community!
Congratulations, ladies, on such a wonderful project !!! YAY ! You rock !
Ha! You've shown you hand Liz! Now I have you filed away in my book for future projects!
Thank you everyone for your enthusiastic response. With the Crafthaus online exhibition, Art Clay World's donation of a print exhibition at the Metal Clay World Conference and now the benefit catalog for CERF, we are really going to reach a large audience!
That is super news and what a worthy cause!
"but we do have to pay a designer to put the catalog together. "
I can do that , I do several catalogs a year and a book for the German Oldenburg Verband. I do graphics as another one of my many jobs, have Quark, Photoshop, etc and know how to work with printers. When would the booklet need to be done by? My only conflict might be that I put together a booklet and map for our local studio tour www.wlast.org which is June 11th & 12th this year which means I'll be working really hard on that April and May.
