Videos of Patricia Niemann's Work

Patricia writes, "Imago is the last or adult stage in insect development. Here, the transformation in insect life is used as a dreamlike metaphor for very human ideas and inspirations in my work. The film references (and is shot in) the coastal region of the Scottish North Highlands, the local light, fauna, flora, archaeology, burial traditions - and threats to the human body, e.g. disease. I am always concerned with pushing perceived borders and with questioning sometimes unnatural fears of modern man towards death and human anatomy."
