Check out my breakfast! Those blueberries are the size of my head! I told you yesterday the food was good but I did not want to say more until I've tried a few meals to confirm ;) As of this writing, I've had four meals now and they were ALL deeeelicious. There was always a variety to suit different tastes and diets.

The best part is that every time we can pick a different hand thrown art mug to drink the coffee with. What a pleasure it is to drink from those cups and connect with the hands that made them.

This was the first full day at the studio and boy did we learn a LOT! Here is a recap: we learned how to engrave a hammer with a texture that can be hammered into the metal.

We also learned how to etch metal using a variety of materials as resist such as sharpie, spray paint and PnP blue paper.

We learned electrical etching using a lawn mower battery or even an old phone charger.

And finally three different alternative cast methods. Here is Ana taking on some serious heat! It was full day indeed!

Wow, that is a lot for one day! It is a treat for anyone to be able to go to Arrowmont and learn from the best. I have a suggestion, based on experience, that you may not even need. Take scrupulous notes, even about things you think are planted in your brain. Then, when home force time, no matter what to practice and practice what you learned, even if it is something you think you may not use in your jewelry. Otherwise it may go away, and just be a nice memory.

If you are like me, you will forget all the little details that make a difference. To paraphrase that ad...Don't be like Roxy, keep the knowledge! Practice.

Take it from me...I gained THREE pounds while there! Try to get up and get some exercise, too! LOL!

I hear you Roxy. I am taking notes, videos and pictures. I am also trying to do at least one round of each of the techniques that especially appeals to me.

Hahaha Leisa, I already gained three pounds lol!
