The Conference Experience

The International Polymer Clay Association will host the second Synergy Conference, Synergy2: Exploring Connections in Baltimore on February 24-27, 2010.  The conference will include 3 days of seminars covering topics such as:
  • creativity
  • new techniques in polymer clay
  • teaching
  • professional development
  • inspiration
  • mixing media
  • collaboration

Wednesday's opening reception will feature a presentation by acclaimed artists Steven Ford and David Forlano who will be discussing their 22-year collaboration.  Other conference speakers will be Elise Winters and Bruce Pepich on “Collecting Polymer”, Robert Dancik on “Connecting to Your Self Expression”, and keynote speaker, Alison Lee host of the Craftcast podcast and website.

Synergy2 will also include an invitational exhibit, an attendee sales gallery, panel discussions, and a vendor fair, as well as a clay manufacturer’s forum.  The conference will conclude with a banquet and auction.

Building on the success of the first Synergy conference in 2008, Synergy2 is sure to be another fantastic experience. The Crafthaus Synergy2 Group will feature daily reports from bloggers Libby Mills and Cynthia Tinapple, providing an inside view of the conference.  Check back often for updates.

Feb. 24–27, 2010
Baltimore, Maryland

In February of 2008 the National Polymer Clay Guild made history with its first Synergy conference. The goal was to bring the best polymer artists together with those aspiring to take this medium to a higher level.

Now the newly renamed International Polymer Clay Association will expand the original Synergy conference’s goal as we reach around the world to connect with the international polymer clay community by presenting Synergy2:Exploring Connections.

With over 46 sessions presented by artists and art professionals at the top of their game, Synergy2 promises to be an event not to be missed.

Join us for this inspiring, energizing and fun event. Come and connect with the creativity, excitement and community.

Hope to see you in Baltimore!

Call for artists....

"Behind the Brooch"

I have always thought that the back of a jewelry piece is as important as the front. If you feel the same way, consider sending images of the front and backside of your brooches to Lorena Angulo asap. Lorena is looking for images to place in a future crafthaus online exhibition!
