<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><br/>Held in odd-numbered years, the NCECA Biennial is the premier juried exhibition open to all current members of NCECA (both national and international) and to all ceramic artists, 18 years and older, residing in the U.S. Please note: artists from outside the U.S. (including Canada) must be NCECA members to enter. Entered works must have been completed within the last 2 years. The exhibition is juried from digital images by three prominent professionals in the field. Entry fee is $20 for members and $40 for non-members. <span> </span>Merit and purchase awards totaling approximately $7,000 are determined by the jurors. All accepted entries must be sent double boxed in sturdy, re-usable packaging.<span> </span>If packing materials are not acceptable for return shipping the TMA staff will contact the artist and any purchase of new packing materials will be the responsibility of the artist.<span> </span>De-install will take place the week of April 25, 2011 and will be completed by the TMA prep staff.<span> </span>Return shipping will be done through FEDEX, UPS and USART utilizing artists’ established accounts or by hand delivery.<span> </span>Artists will coordinate art pickup during indicated time period above.<span> </span>NCECA will reimburse artists up to $100 for <b>return</b> shipping upon receipt of a reimbursement form and the <b>original</b> return shipping receipt. Any claims on shipping damage must be reported by the artist to the carrier and/or the Tampa Art Museum before June 1, 2011.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;">Glen R. Brown</span></b><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> is a professor of modern and contemporary art history at Kansas State University and a member of the International Academy of Ceramics.<span> </span>His <u>500 Ceramic Sculptures</u> was published in 2009, and more than 40 of his essays have appeared in books and exhibition catalogs.<span> </span>In addition, he has authored over 300 articles and reviews for magazines such as Ceramics: Art and Perception; Sculpture; Ceramics Monthly; Ceramics Technical; American Ceramics; American Craft; Cerámica; New Ceramics, Ceramic Review; Kerameiki Techni; and World Sculpture News.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;">Julia Galloway</span></b><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> was born and raised in New England. Her utilitarian pottery has been exhibited across the United States and Canada and she has demonstrated at the NCECA and the Utilitarian Clay Conferences. Her work can be found in the collations of The Long Beach Museum of Art, Long Beach, CA, Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian Museum, Washington, DC, The Huntington Museum of Art, Huntington, WV, Archie Bray Foundation, Helena, MT , The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and The Woodman Collection: The University of Colorado, Boulder, CO. She earned her undergraduate degree from New York State School of Ceramics at Alfred University and Graduate degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder. For nine years Galloway taught at the School for American Crafts at RIT and recently she moved to Missoula where she is a Professor of Ceramics and Director of the School of Art at the University of Montana.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;">Arthur Gonzalez</span></b><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black;"> is an internationally exhibiting artist with over thirty-five one-person shows in the last twenty-five years, including seven in Manhattan, New York.<span> </span>He has received many awards including the Virginia Groot Foundation twice and is an unprecedented four-time recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts Fellowship within a ten-year period.<span> </span>He is a Professor of Art at the California College of the Arts (formerly CCAC) where he was chair of the ceramics program from 1995-2006. Gonzalez has been an artist-in-residence in many places including University of Georgia, Athens, Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Penland School of Craft, North Carolina, University of Akron in Ohio, Tainan National University in Taiwan, and Pilchuck Glass School in Washington.<span> </span></span></p>
