One of my other "hats" is being the video editor at Metal Clay Artist Magazine but I've been a little lackadaisical with producing videos for our online library, so,  I'm going to try for two birds with one stone. For my last process installment of the month, and a much over due MCAM video, I thought I would introduce another one of my favorite homemade metal clay tools, a bail drying rack.

You may had seen this little guy lurking in the background of my previous process projects, here's the full scoop, including how I transfer my wet clay onto the drying rack without causing a bunch of distortion. Here it is, another easy DYI metal clay tool.

*I use anodized aluminum knitting needles as my armature, and after drying hundreds of bails since 2008 I've never had a single issue with silver or copper clay reacting. It's important to note that uncoated aluminum is a very different issue, and will react in an ugly way with metal clay greenware.
