    Hi Tricia,

You make beautiful work with a graceful and refined sensibility.

Thanks for the comments! Gallery Loupe is in Montclair. There is a museum there too. The Newark Museum has a very nice jewelry collection, including enamel pieces by Marilyn Druin and William Harper ( his work is much bigger than I realized). Work the visit if you get the chance. Are you going to SNAG since it's in your hometown? We hope that the New Jersey Metal Arts guild will be a long lived, vital organization like the Pennsylvania Society of Goldsmiths.

Good to "see" you again Tricia! Thanks for the kind words. It's that time of year again, scrambling to get ready for CraftBoston with all new work. I'm not doing much torch-firing anymore, but I manage to think about it a lot. I'll have to ease up on all the sgraffito soon, it's such a messy process. I've noticed that you teach at Metalwerx, I'm dying to take a class there! Always such phenomenal teachers.

Will you be at the show? It would be great to see you!

Hi, Tricia. Thank you for the comments on the article--I appreciate it. I curated an exhibition called LACED WITH HISTORY that focused on contemporary artists using lace in their work (drawings on mylar, huge cedar collars, a hot glue doily and great jewelry--amongst many other things, including a few historical examples. That catalog has not been published yet). Looking at lace is certainly a bit of what got me looking at the idea of the heirloom "today." I am pleased to be introduced to your work as well--I like it a lot.

The "Mining History" article has not been published yet. Considering the Crafthaus audience, I may do an announcement here once we find out when it is coming out. Glad to "know you" and thanks again....Lena

    Hi Tricia,
Yes I did indeed attend UArts. Metals97. 96 is so close. I'd love to meet up at SNAG. It's going to be a real exciting time. Find me by my crafthaus icon badge. By the way I peeked at your site and your work has affected me in a positive way.
    Thanks,
    Anthony

Hey Trish! I miss working in the studio with you! They put the vent hood in my studio as well, I'm just waiting for the electrical outlets to be connected and then i'll be in business to get the rest of my stuff in there! My jobs are keeping me very busy and I wish I had more time to work on my own jewelry but it's been crazy, but good crazy. Am looking forward to hearing from you in the fall! Hope that your workshop goes very well down in PA and I will talk to you soon!!!
  • Leeza Khoury

Your work is lyrical. We really like your style. The Mentor piece is quite touching. No small feat for a piece of jewelry
