Welcome Fru:
I am very happy that you have joined and I hope you will get a chance to upload some pictures and let us all see some your amazing work. Looking much forward to you comments and topics. Enjoy :-)
Brigitte
I understand how you feel ;-) I feel the same way. It is quite daunting to see all these tremendously accomplished people here. But the good news is that part of what crafthaus is supposed to do is opening a window to ALL of us so that we can learn from each other in a cooperative and friendly way. Your artwork IS amazing. No need to hide any of it ;-)
Are they paper or fabric? I love the way you made those bracelets! Reminded me of playing with chopstick-sleeves at restaurants trying to make something cool. You have done a great job!
hey francesca, thank you for your invite, which i proudly accept!
i had seen your great work and i am honored to be on your friend's list.
i haven't had much time to dedicate to crafthaus yet, but look forward to possibly add more pictures and participate more.
i am leaving for boston in a few days for a show (http://craftboston.org/holidayindex.asp) so i am in frenzy show mode.....
and, tell me about your, oh so italian sounding name....
anyway, volevo follow up right away e grazie per la tua breve introduzione.
dopo boston magari facciamo 4 chiacchiere piu' approfondite.
Greetings, Francesca!
I saw your comments about your split personality (metalsmith/biochemist) on someone else's page & had to write to say "Hey!" from a metalsmith/botanist!! I am also engaged in science for practical reasons (RENT!) but my heart is in metals & I have a studio in my home. I went to the U of Illinois (with Sung-Yeoul Lee, whose comment is right below this one -- how funny!) Actually, I find the two work and play very, very well together, and I can't imagine being an artist without the benefit of all the science! Please check out my work -- I hope you will enjoy it!
I thought your paperwork was fabulous, and you are a MONSTER technician -- everything is so clean and tight!! I am admiringly jealous.
Good luck with engaging both the science and the art in your life,
nisa blackmon
Hi francesca, nice to meet you as well.
My husband and I were just in Seattle, we saw 2 of your necklaces at the SAM.
I recognized them right away.
~Laura
yes, we certainly did have the same idea.
Oh well, didn't see your posting until I did mine.
Doesn't matter, it just reflects our enthusiasm for the article and the possibilities of 2.0.
Thank you very much for your membership payment and support of the crafthaus community. Your membership is good through 4-15-2011. Be well and let me know your comments and suggestions for future improvements of the site.
Thank you Francesca, you're a sweetheart and we would love to meet you too. Missing the opportunity of connecting with all the wonderfully creative and fun people we have met online was the big bummer of the summer.
Francesca, I enjoyed reading your post about the SNAG emerging artist definition and sympathize with your confusion/alienation. I admire your courage to step up and ask for clarity. Best wishes!
Dear Francesca,
My apologies time was short Leonard and Juan Carlos took me took breakfast , then off to the airport. I will make it up to you!!! Promesa !!!!! Will you still be my Friend!!!.
I would like to communicate with you.
BLISS and Mucha Creativida!!!! Alejandro
I'm curating an online exhibition called "Piece Progressions" and would love for you to be a part of it. I think your varied materials and lovely final pieces would add something really unique. You can see details of the exhibition here: http://crafthaus.ning.com/group/crafthausexhibition/forum/topics/ca...
If you have any questions feel free to contact me; it would be great to have you as part of the exhibition!
Saw your collaborative piece that you made with Loring last night at the cooperative tableware show. Very cool work! I love it when two artists that I dig get together like that! Congrats
