As I am not much of a glazer, and something of a control freak, I frequently work with Original Milk Paint, which you can use on bisque, high fire, your furniture or your barn.

It's a milk based, non toxic paint pigment, mixed with water and offers an almost slip like surfacein rich subdued colors. It was frequently used by Pennsylvania Dutch and Early American furniture makers.

I just saw your note. I am sorry for not seeing it before. I didn't even know you could leave comments. I have seen your work for years on the net, although I have never seen it in real life.
