    Dear Islay:

Welcome to crafthaus ! I am very glad you joined us.

At the moment, there is a surge in activity on the site, so if you would like to add some images of your pieces to your profile please be sure to add them via the PHOTOS link at the top of the website or via your own personal site photo link. I noticed you already put some beautiful artwork on personal page, however, this can only be viewed when someone directly accesses your site. The way you set it up, your images won't come up automatically at the top of the page in the picture feed. But maybe that's what you wanted ?

Also, please feel free to add your comments to the discussion topics that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network and find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.

If there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me anytime. I will do my best to be of help.

    Again: Welcome !

Islay: I am so glad you joined. I absolutely love your work !!!! Right up my alley :-)

On your page you mention that you are also a gallery director. Which gallery is that ? I used to have a gallery for jewelry in Cleveland OH and am thinking of reopening one for fine craft in general in Pittsburgh, where I currently live, so I might be able to pick your brain every now and then ?

    Thanks,
    Brigitte

Interesting work and blog, Evocative Objects. The use of horsehair is very effective in the mourning necklaces.
  • Thea Clark

I'll never look at a bicycle inner tube or auto body shop the same way again.

Really enjoy all of your work, and the horse hair mourning necklace looks great!

I have seen the new EIP, but only a quick glance. I've been letting all the publications pile up for the last 4 months...Don't know why...Too much internet? I will get to them eventually.

I did notice a few familiar names from this site so I'll need to look at the EIP soon and send congratulations :)

Thanks---about the color :) I use it when I think it's needed. My mind has been trying to lure me into a 1 or 2 color thing...Silly mind.

You commented a while ago about my necklace - I made it last spring. Thanks for looking!

    Islay,

I spoke to Simon and his mum at the weekend. He was delighted with the coverage you gave him on your blog and said to thank you very much.
I bought a Victorian bog-oak brooch from him, to be incorporated into something of my own, no doubt.
