Based on an original steel and bronze dagger from the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nürnberg, Germany dating to the early 15th century, this piece features a 1060 hand-ground steel blade, turned walnut hardwood handle with handmade brass guard and pommel cap. The blade measures 6” long and the handle measures 4”. The dagger features a wide tang which travels through the length of the handle and is hot-peened at the pommel cap, giving the whole a secure fitting. The whole weighs less than 4 oz.
