We do a fair amount of teaching related to the business of art. Both of us have been engaged in the profession of art since early childhood and we have seen lots of bad practices. When you find someone who does it right, they deserve an accolade. If they weren't doing things right, you'd want to know about that too (and we'd tell you). Good or bad, we feel it is important to communicate throughout our peer network. This is how we, as group, understand and recognize patterns of business behavior in ourselves and in our potential partners (ie suppliers, galleries, shops etc). That is why we define our terms and don't leave it at "they were professional". By spelling it out, it sets a benchmark for comparison to other galleries and shows.

That is indeed a glowing recommendation. Thank you for sharing your experiences. That is immensely helpful. I will try to participate this year.

Zaruba Zarube (the gallery) and everyone we dealt with were very professional and totally first class. We define this as: They communicated well, and often. They kept us informed about schedules, shipping and purchases. Our entry was sold early in the show. The gallery notified us immediately, including the buyer's information, and when we could expect payment. They then followed up and paid exactly as promised. As artists, we work diligently to be professional and adhere to principles of sound ethics and business. We expect no less from the galleries, institutions and stores we do business with. Zaruba Zaruba was exemplary.
