We've been toying around the edges of moving away from a pure "exhibition" style of photography for our work for quite a few years. A more narrative style seems better suited for art jewelry in particular, as this type of jewelry is often intellectually inaccessible to the general public. Creating an unexpected context is considerably more challenging both artistically and technically, and time will tell if this direction supports the work or detracts.

Thanks Brigitte. Photography style has been a topic here on Crafthaus for quite some time. Getting outside of the fortress walls of the art community has been difficult for a lot artists, particularly if they are not engaged in more commercial or familiar styles of work.

Great approach. Stunning photography is a major component of success as most people will only ever see your photos not the pieces themselves. Also, a great way to reach audiences outside of the typical gallery/museum/art community settings. Love the photo!!
