During the process of renovating our garden and home we have found multiple small limbs from toys, primarily arms or hands. These have found their way into my work. The plastic arm, arguably the most fragile found was turned up by an earthmover. The terracotta body, a low fired footless and headless toy was found beneath the legs of the heavy concrete laundry tub. The porcelain arm, the most robust find, was turned up by a shovel.
