Rorschach Corsages

Rorschach Corsages 2013- ongoing
The Rorschach Corsage Series evolved from the series Anthophobia and FTD’s. In those series hollow constructed brooches were abstracted from traditional flower corsages and botanical psychopharmica.
The recent Rorschach Corsages are built in layers reflective of the mediation of social and psychological experience of the wearer. The corsage silhouette has become a Rorschach test inkblot which provides a field for the medicinal blossoms. The elaborate back sides of the brooches are inspired by the emotional states we do not proclaim in public, while the front surface presents a public persona.
And as in life , sometimes they escape their socially prescribed location.
