Alice Watch - Pocket Watch Configuration, Front

Watch which converts between a pocket watch an a wristwatch.

The watch is made from the oil-cap of a 1950s truck, found in a derelict building in Glasgow, part of a light-fitting found in the same place, a 1960s mechanical Rotary wristwatch, silver, 9ct gold, garnets, CZ, rare-earth magnets from a discarded electric toothbrush, black onyx, included quartz, an old key and is hand-engraved with motifs and quotations from "Alice In Wonderland".

The chain is made from found, corroded spring washers, found, corroded iron plate, a corroded steel ball-bearing, silver, tourmalinated quartz in a semi-natural crystal and a black spinel.

For the next 13 months we'll discuss the trials, triumphs, and tribulations of exhibiting  in art shows as emerging artists and established artists. Exhibition coverage will be balanced with tips on how to strategically build a legacy over a length of time, in a way that makes sense to your individual goals as an artist and maker.

Join us each month! There will be surprises around every corner, with photos, videos, SNAG conference coverage, and occasional interviews by rising artists!
