Very good of you to say so. Balthamos and Burach were commissioned as a wedding gift. Balthamos has been etched to inset the steel areas. The delight for me was to discover the different etching rates and patterns given by the direction of the steel 'grain' in each area. I had noticed this effect before but this is the 1st time I have expressed it in a finished piece.
