Steel wire, etched copper, vitreous enamel, found objects, roasted oil patina. 6"h x 4"w x 1"d. Celebrating the legacy of Fred Woell, this corsage brooch commemorates his use of found objects, his teaching, his hand-centrifugal casting technique, and his tenure at Haystack. Some of the found objects are from Fred's studio (donated by his friends that organized the memorial show for which this piece was created) and some of the objects are from my studio.
