After 14 months of spinning merino wool yarn and weaving, this Chilkat robe is ready to take off the loom. There are very few Chilkat weavers anymore--this is a traditional Northwest Coast Native style of weaving that has evolved over centuries. This robe is regalia, to be worn and danced at special events. The design represents a Tlingit Eagle in honor of my weaving teacher, Chloe Sk.wein French. The pattern was designed by my husband, Scott Jensen. Measures 62" wide x 50" long. Private Collection, Pasadena, CA.
