How was it made?
The lid is slab built. The base is wheel-thrown, assembled and altered. Florets, dots and lace edging is created with colored slips. The butterdish is glaze fired in an electric kiln to cone 6 with mother-of-pearl on the button accents and some of the slip accents, fired to cone 018.
