DONATE LIFE tzedakah box by Harriete Estel Berman (side for medical research)

My tzedakah box is titled “Donate Life.” This object focuses on the idea that each of us have the power to save a life in the 21st century. By donating blood, registering as a donor on our driver license, or participating in medical research as a control subject we have opportunity to literally change a person’s life. These actions exemplifying the highest form of tzedakah, the donor and the receiver do not know one another, while the gift enables the beneficiary to recovery and become a contributing member of society.

Just like many buildings in downtown San Francisco renovated for a new purpose (including the Contemporary Jewish Museum), this tin representing the iconic I. Magnin building reinvented to represent tzedakah actions to “Donate Life.”
Do you know that 85% of clinical trials face delays and 30% never even get started due to lack of volunteers? Two places to register for clinical trials are Research Match and Fox Finder .
