She always wanted to travel
To the Middle East,
Ancient sites
Drew Her to Their Mysteries.
Secrets they would reveal
To Her.
She would Discover
The Missing Tomb,
The Iridescent Vessel,
Precious Scarab
Inscribed with
The Cartouche of an Unknown Pharoah.
She would translate
The Indecipherable Alphabet.
An influx of ancient forms and designs,
Paisley Pears, Cuneiform Inscriptions and
Lotus Petals
Invaded her waking dreams.
