This ring is one of many in a series. Individually, it represents the emptiness and loneliness we experience. As a collection the set brings on a more global feeling/meaning. As I drive around my community, the economy has hit our little town hard and there seems to be a sad, lonely, and desolate feeling hovering over our heads. The rings ( put together) symbolize the lonely buildings and shattered dreams of the people living in America today.
