I created Frieda S. for the judged theme exhibition BELLE EPOQUE fall 2006.
The piece of jewelry had to fit an oval of 7x5cm and integrate a minimum of one diamond.
Frieda S. is the realization of my research on the social role of women during the belle époque. From corsets to female hysteria and penis envy I naturally stumble across Sigmund Freud.
The quotes on the necklace are from Frieda S. therapy sittings with Sigmund F.
Although the patient Frieda S. comes at a price, it is a pittance compared to her inner value and the cost of a serious psychotherapy with a good analyst.
