Hi,

I am still experimenting with materials for this series.  These pieces use gesso scraped and sanded to a very smooth finish.  Drafting pens, ink, graphite, silver and gold point are then used.  Today I am going to try some new surface materials in place of gesso.  The new, higher grade, gesso actually gave me more trouble than the bulk cheap stuff I was using.  Too plastic.  It didn't like being scraped and sanded.  Also the more 3D I get, the harder the surface prep is.  My painter friends love the surface!  Most can't believe I am using gesso.  I guess the metal backing allows me to really refine the surface.

Very nice indeed!  I love the flow of the lines.  More info on materials etc. - please!
