When I was thinking about the means and effects of healing, I wanted to use one of the concepts in Asian therapy, acupuncture, in my jewelry. The pearl pins in the rubber resemble acupuncture. I was inspired by pearls in that the oyster experiences pain and then gives birth to a gem. The form of the links come from the finger mudra of Buddha.
