3M & m Candy Dispenser 2001 by Harriete Estel Berman

This small sculpture is a pun on the company names for 3M and m&m. It is a functioning candy dispenser for "m & m" chocolate candies. The exterior is constructed from several tin cans that used to hold 3M products.

You can see a vintage tin can that used to hold "Scotch Tape". We all use the term Scotch tape, which is based on this original invention by 3M company. Their products were always printed with this Scotch plaid.

Pre-printed steel from vintage 3M tins and recycled tin containers; 10k gold and aluminum rivets; plastic candy dispenser; custom box.
