This piece features two individually shell formed and enameled "seapods." They are enameled on the interior with kiln-fired and torch-fired white liquid enamel. The pattern in the enamel is a combination of sgraffito design and the random patterns that appear when white enamel is torch fired to a temperature where the oxides in the copper react with the chemicals in the enamel. The pods hang from either end of a 20" sterling silver chain and are meant to be draped around the neck and twisted in front.
