This is a new idea I have just developed, where the woven paper has a steel wire core which makes the piece flexible and shapable (I hope I didn't make up this word!).
Basically the piece can be modeled in any shape and it will keep it and here are just three examples.

Woven paper, steel.

That's a great point!
I'm planing on making more for the Philly show, even though I must say in this period I work a lot less than I use to, no more long nights up which were my most productive and creative hours.

I am not surprised, I think you are really on to something with this. People like paper a lot and the added shaping capability probably makes them feel like they have more control over the material, that they won't squish it and ruin in -- even though your work is extremely sturdy to begin with.

I think this is a brilliant idea. More power to you! I would like to see you make many more of these. Do you plan on making bigger pieces like this as well?

Thanks Brigitte, I'm quite happy with it, I presented at the last ACC show and this piece sold right away plus it was the one which the judges of the excellence award complimented the most. I cannot wait to make more!!
