This work was influenced by the modernist monuments known as "Spomenik" in the former Yugoslavia. These massive sculptural forms, built of concrete and steel, have fallen into neglect over the years and have been subjected to the elements and vandalism. The state of destruction of these enigmatic sculptures is more symbolic of their meaning than was their original state. "Monument", made from a dissected acrylic die, as a monument to process.
