Artist Statement
The word "nebula" is derived from the Latin word for "clouds". A nebula is a cosmic cloud of gas and dust floating in space. Nebulae are the basic building blocks of the universe. They contain the elements from which stars and solar systems are built. They are also among the most beautiful objects in the universe, glowing with rich colors and swirls of light.

Clay, dust plus water, represents the basic building blocks of our world and one of the earliest art materials of mankind.

Hanging assemblages of porcelain represent elemental, ethereal, and stunningly beautiful aspects of nebulae. They represent our past and our future, in fact, the building blocks of our very existence.
